As many of the long-term members of #teamthandos know, JG and Taffi created Thando’s while they were MBA students at NYU’s Stern School of Business ("Stern"). Last Spring, they returned to Stern to partner with MBA students as part of a Communication for Consultants course. Taught by Professor Susan Stehlik, the course focuses on preparing students who want to become consultants. Thando’s was fortunate enough to have two teams of students working to provide market insight. #winning
The first team (Trang, Bhavishya, Stephane, Shuvo, and Jessica) focused on assisting Thando’s with market research and a marketing strategy. The team provided valuable recommendations regarding communication of the Thando’s brand and story. Stephane, the REAL MVP, also led the migration of the Thando’s website to the friendlier Shopify platform.
The second team (Jeremy, Mingzi, Si Hyun, Matthew, Alekh) provided insight into Thando’s U.S. expansion. The team provided Thando’s with a plan to expand and which U.S. cities were ripe for entry.
We would like to thank both teams for the hard work they demonstrated and insights they shared. These insights are going to play a major part in our future strategic initiatives.
